We listen, act, and transform
ABOUT ME
When I am not working, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. Having 4 children makes my life full of love, laughter, and challenges, especially trying to keep up with all of their activities. Being a parent, and raising adolescents also helps give me insight into the challenges that today's kids face.
When I'm not spending time with my family, I enjoy reading and cooking. I collect cook books and read them as though they were novels. My love for both is something I enjoy sharing with my kids. They especially love the products of my cooking endeavors.
EXPERIENCE
I have been practicing mental health counseling for over eight years. I graduated from Capella University in early 2016, with my Masters in Mental Health Counseling. Prior to returning to school, I spent over 20 years working in the financial services industry. I worked with people who had a variety of financial issues and challenges, which often contributed to emotional challenges. This further added to my desire to help people through counseling. After taking time off to start raising my children, I returned to school to earn my Masters Degree
I have worked with a variety of clients with a number of different issues. I have experience in helping people dealing with depression, anxiety, ADHD, self-esteem challenges, and eating disorders, to name a few. While I also work with adults, I have a special fondness for working with adolescents and focus on this population,
